Welcome to Surprise Lake Middle School, a community dedicated to student success! I am Principal Mark Beddes, and it is my honor to lead this community of learners, dreamers, and doers. Our school is more than a building; it is a community of learners, ready to shape the world with courage, creativity, and unrelenting determination.

Every student who walks through our doors carries a spark—unique, brilliant, and boundless. Here, we support our students and build that spark into a flame, preparing students for high school and beyond with strong academic foundations and essential life skills. Our teachers, staff, and families work together to guide each child to discover not just who they are, but who they will become. There is no limit to what our students can achieve—because at Surprise Lake, we don’t settle for the ordinary. We chase the extraordinary with every lesson, every challenge, every triumph.
